Coopers

Coopers Cottage

Stella and Eamonn Long have lovingly restored and renovated this 19th century cooper's cottage, once Eamonn's family home, into an extraordinarily comfortable and tasteful country hideaway.

While retaining the cosy proportions and traditional lines of the original dwelling , the Longs have created a house full of light, with generous skylights and windows opening to spectacular views of the Galtee Mountains. The furnishings have a bright, contemporary feel.

The house comes with absolutely everything, including a barbecue and lovely fenced in garden with a patio area for sunny days. This is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful south-east. The village of Bansha is just 2 miles down the road. (Frommer's Guide to Ireland).

Coopers Cottage is located at the entrance to Rathellen House. It is a three bedroomed cottage (sleeps 6) and reaches Failte Ireland's four star requirements. It may be rented on a 7 day self catering or on a bed and breakfast basis. Guests are welcome to join us in Rathellen House for breakfast.
